Art For Music Gallery Exhibit Jan 15-30

Charlottetown – Flanking either side of Music PEI’s Awards Week, a gallery exhibit entitled Art For Music celebrates the visual side of music and is presented at The Gallery@The Guild between January 15-30.
The exhibit features the work of local graphic designers, web designers and photographers all working within the music industry; presented as a collaborative display of photographs, gig posters, CD art and screen displays.
The popularity of the Art for Music gallery exhibit in 2009, in addition to the expanding music scene in PEI, has instituted a new award category for the 2010 Music PEI Awards – Visual Artist of The Year.
The Art For Music exhibition is your opportunity to check out the art that helps to make the music happen!
The official opening is Wednesday, January 20 from 6-7:30pm.
On Thursday January 21, at 8:00 pm, the Visual Artist Award will be handed out at Songs and Stories at The MacKenzie Theatre.
The Gallery@The Guild is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12noon – 5pm. Admission is free with donations welcome.
