Multi-Award Winning Spinney Brothers Bring High Energy Show To The Guild
Bluegrass music will be ringing loud and clear in Charlottetown, Saturday, February 27th.   The Spinney Brothers Bluegrass Band will be “In Concert” at The Guild, Prince Edward Island’s hottest cultural venue.
The Spinney’s are one of the busiest bluegrass acts in all of Canada. The band includes Allan and Rick Spinney from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, who have been at the forefront of the Atlantic Canadian bluegrass scene for well over a decade, along with band mates Gary Dalrymple and Terry Mumford.
The Spinney Brothers are touring in support of their current CD When the Golden Leaves Begin to Fall. The 2010 tour season has the Spinney’s traveling across Canada, from Newfoundland to British Columbia and south of the boarder, from Maine to California.

Proud to represent their home province where ever they travel, the Spinney’s are honoured to have been recognized by the Nova Scotia Legislature as “Ambassadors of Nova Scotia”.

Rick Spinney recently commented, “We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunities that we have had and the chance to perform for such enthusiastic crowds.   We strive to put on an energetic show, family entertainment that any age will enjoy”.
The Spinney Brothers were recognized for all their hard work, this past October at the Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Awards show in Truro. The Spinney’s took home five awards including Male Vocalist of the Year (Allan Spinney), Guitar Player of the Year (Allan Spinney), Vocal Group of the Year, Gospel Performance of the Year, and Bass player of the Year (Terry Mumford).
The Spinney’s have also been nominated for an upcoming 2010 East Coast Music Award for Bluegrass Recording of the Year.
Tickets for the Spinney Brothers February 27th concert are $15.00 and available at The Guild’s box office at (902) 620-3333 or via email at boxoffice@theguildpei.com. Showtime is 8:00pm.
