Musical Theatre School at The Guild
Summer Camps

After two successful years of Music Theatre School at The Guild, with over 230 students, and some knock-out shows, we are pleased to introduce Music Theatre Summer Camps at The Guild!!!

Lead by Lori Linkletter, Artistic Director of Children’s Theatre and Community Programming, the camps will be one week-long at The Guild for Youths from Grades Kindergarten to 9.

Along with Lori will be a team of theatre performance specialists to mentor youth in acting, theatre and dance. The end of each week will feature a showcase for family and friends to attend.

Music Theatre Summer Camps will be held at The Guild

July 8 – 12 Grades K-3
July 15 – 19 Grades 4-6 Intermediate
July 22 – 26 Grades 7-9 Advanced
July 29 – Aug 2 Grades K-3
Aug 5 – 9 Grades 4-6 Intermediate
Aug 12 – 16 Grades 7-9 Advanced

Drop off times after 8:30 am. Classes will begin at 9:00 am and end at 4:30 pm.

The cost for each student is $225.00 + taxes & fees. These fees are non-refundable.

As a Value-Added Bonus, registration includes ONE ticket to each of our summer productions of Anne and Gilbert, Disney Junior’s Little Mermaid and Dreamworks Madagascar.

There will be a maximum of 25 youths each week, which will be based on a first come, first serve basis.

Meet the Instructors!

Lori Linkletter, B.A. (Music); (hons) A.R.C.T., RMT

Lori Linkletter owns and operates Linkletter Music Studio in Charlottetown, teaching voice, piano, theory, history, harmony and Music Theatre. Ms. Linkletter has studied at Sheridan College Music theatre program, The Glenn Gould School of music, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto obtaining her Performance and Teaching Certificates in 1997. Ms. Linkletter’s principal voice teacher was Paul Massel, and her piano teachers were Jenny Regher and Charlene Biggs. Lori studied choral conducting techniques with Dr. Tuttle at the Royal Conservatory of Music and sang with the Eastminister United Church Choir under the direction of Alan Coffin. Lori taught at the studio of Paul Massel at the royal conservatory of Music, Toronto where she taught private students, beginning male singing techniques and conducted the 150 member beginner’s chorus before returning to PEI in 1997.

Since returning to PEI Lori has been active as a Producer, Director, conductor, music director and stage manager for theatre events. Lori Directed and music Directed Disneys the Little Mermaid jr at the Guild in 2016, and produced, Directed and Music Directed A FAIRY TALE CHRISTMAS CAROL, DEC 2016 and Disneys’s 101 DALMATIANS JR APRIL 2017, MADAGASCAR JR summer 2017 at THE GUILD. Lori has also been the music director for the Confederation Centre of the Arts Christmas Shows “Babes in Toyland”, “The Littlest Angel”, and “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. Lori has stage managed the Charlottetown Festival of Lights concerts and has assisted with stage management of other events including the National Music Festival in August 2004 and produced and directed the National Science Fair Opening Ceremony in 2012.

As a performer, Lori has been active in many theatre productions and originated the role of Maude in the Musical The Nine Lives of L.M. Montgomery. Lori is an active performer at concerts and churches across PEI. Lori Works as an adjudicator at Festivals across the Maritimes.
